Guide to Craft Beer Tasting Rooms

We love our craft beer in Vancouver, and there’s no better way to taste that local brew than directly from the source. Many craft breweries in Vancouver offer tasting rooms to sample their brews; here is our list of must-sees.

33 Acres
33 Acres, one of many new breweries located around Main Street, took a different approach with their tasting room. With a clean, modern west coast design the tasting room is simple allowing you to focus on the beer and locally sourced snack menu. Oh, and don’t forget the daily food truck rotations.
Address: 15 West 8th Avenue
Hours: Daily 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Bomber Brewing
Bomber Brewing has a great location along the popular Adanac and Mosaic bike routes in East Van. The staff is super friendly and if it’s not too busy, they are happy to tour you through the back room so you can see how they brew the stuff your drinking.
Address: 1488 Adanac Street
Hours: Daily Noon to 11 p.m.

Brassneck Brewery
Brassneck Brewery has a beautiful rustic fill and tasting room right on Main Street. In addition to the quality beer, they serve a selection of jerky and pepperoni and most evenings have food trucks camped outside so you can bring dinner in with you.
Address: 2148 Main Street
Hours: Monday to Friday 2 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday and Sun Noon to 11 p.m.

Off The Rail Brewery
One of the newest breweries to enter the scene, Off the Rail is incredibly close to Bomber Brewing, which makes a two-for-one visit a must.
Address: 1351 Adanac Street
Hours: Monday to Saturday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Main Street Brewery
Just around the corner from Brassneck Brewery and right off Main Street, you’d be surprised that this huge yellow building is actually out of sight. Main Street offers a limited dining menu along with their tasting room, and an express growler fill area if you’re just there to pick up.
Address: 261 East 7th Avenue
Hours: Monday to Thursday 2 to 11 p.m., Friday to Sunday Noon to 11 p.m.

Parallel 49
Arguably one of the first breweries to help popularize craft beer in Vancouver, Parallel 49 offers a wide selection of beer at their tasting room as well as a selection of hard to find Parallel beers in their fridge.
Location: 1950 Triumph Street
Hours: Daily Noon to 11 p.m.

Postmark Brewing
Located in the Settlement building, Postmark shares the space with Vancouver Urban Winery and Belgard Kitchen. The expansive space is great for drinks, but if you’re in a rush there’s a walk-up growler window to suit your needs.
Address: 55 Dunlevy Avenue
Hours: Monday to Friday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Powell Street Brewing
Another brewery that has recently moved to fit their rapid expansion, Powell Street is worth the trip down to sample their unique beer. They weren’t awarded best beer in Canada for nothing!
Address: 1357 Powell Street
Hours: Monday to Thursday Noon to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday Noon to 9 p.m. and Sunday Noon to 7 p.m.

Storm Brewing
The Grandfather of Vancouver craft brewing, Storm has a tasting room….of sorts. Everything is just a jumble of chaos in Storm, which is totally the point. Storm is amazing, go sample beer in the heart of it all.
Address: 310 Commercial Drive
Hours: Tuesday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Wednesday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday 1 to 6 p.m.

Strange Fellows Brewing
Another new addition to the Vancouver brewery scene, Strange Fellows is a unique take on beer. They’ve embraced the weird and the decor reflects it. Sour beer will be their specialty.
